For the position of Business Developer, we are looking for someone who can quickly understand a brand new product within our client’s business and take this proposition to appropriate channels using their consultative sales skills and experiences. We need someone who is going to be resilient enough to communicate with all staff levels including influencing stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
Prospect for potential new clients and creating relationships within the financial services industry to win business and product sales
Identify potential clients and their process for decision making and signoffs
Create clear process for taking SaaS product to market within a regional remit
Set up meeting with client decision makers and company leaders
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
Knowledge & Experience
The person for the role would ideally have experience of dealing with and selling a start-up product / brand. We are looking for a methodical person who can deliver results and work under pressure.
Minimum 3 years SaaS or technical sales experience
Experience of territory based consultative sales
Full understanding and experience of product life cycle
Presentation skill set to and consult with mid & senior management on services and products in new market channels
Proven track record of closing business with senior decision makers in large to enterprise level companies
An entrepreneurial mind-set, ideally with experience in start-ups, corporate innovation groups or high-growth companies
Passionate and driven individual that wants to succeed through a methodical focused approach
Experience of building relationships with and managing third parties providers, ideally both distributors and suppliers
To have worked within a multi group company and have experience of matrix management
Strong relationship management skills
Experience and proven success in translating business analysis and human needs into successful consumer products
Ability to be flexible on a day to day basis with task priority
Will have a degree level education
